In 2017, Monae Miller, a songbird with a vision, founded My Name is Peaches Music Foundation. She dreamed of a sanctuary where music wasn’t confined to black and white keys or the notes on staff but was as boundless as the children’s imagination who played it. She believed in the power of music to give kids a voice, especially when words were hard to come by.

The Tale of Monae’s Melody
Monae has always had a special place in her heart for the blend of music and vibrant hues. It all started with her childhood piano lessons, where her teacher brought a bit of enchantment to the keys by associating each note with a different color. Carrying this spark of inspiration with her, Monae introduced this colorful method at Peaches. The Pause and Return
Life, much like music, has its ebbs and flows. Back in 2018, Monae found herself at one of those quieter turns in the song of life, needing to take a step back from Peaches. It was a hush, a breath between melodies. And you know what they say about the quiet moments in music—they’re there to make you appreciate the next part even more.
That’s exactly what happened. In 2023, Monae came back, full of fresh energy and new ideas, all set to guide Peaches through its next exciting chapter.

My Name is Peaches Music Foundation inspires musical expression in children. Program participants gain access to songwriting methods that are accessible and appropriate to their age group. The specific objectives and purpose of this organization are:
- to provide instruction in the area of music production and songwriting;
- to provide platforms for children to perform their inspired works;
- to provide opportunities for children participants to engage and interact with family and friends;
- to sponsor, host and/or participate in events and activities that promote musical expression.
